i like the d.o.f. and color

Excellent use of the depth-of-field for the creation of soft, artistic image.... This is exquisite, Hanna!

I just recently learned of "foreground bokeh" and it adds so much to the depth of this image. I, too, like the DoF... it's just right. And how could one not like the colors?!

David, I forgot to mention in the tech details that I used the 500D close-up filter on the 24-105mm. I have been experimenting with this for macro work as an alternative to my 50mm macro lens, which does not seem to have the versatility and also sounds like it has a very irate bee caught inside it. The 500D filter on a zoom lens presents any number of approaches to closeup shooting.

Hanna, Thanks for the additional info. I've never used such a filter, but it sounds interesting. I'll have to look into that! The result you have here certainly encourages one to find out more about such filters.
