bosshogg 4 Posted April 25, 2008 When and if we meet, I am going to demand that you tell me how you do these low light images with no blur and no harsh light. And then you must tell me how you always seem to capture at just the right moment. Well, maybe not. I doubt that this is a skill that is taught. You are either born with it or not, and you clearly were. Wonderful work, muchacho. Take care Link to comment

dseltzer 0 Posted April 25, 2008 ... and I, too, am so impressed with your facility at capturing this kind of image, given the challenging low light, inherent movement, and fleeting expressions. I hesitate to be any less than totally positive, and there's hardly ever anything to say about your work that isn't pure admiration, but... I find myself wishing for just a tad less sharpening on this one. It looks like it's created highlights on the left nostril and along the shaft of the nose that's a touch distracting. Hope I haven't over stepped or been too nit picky. Warm regards, David. Link to comment
steve b 0 Posted April 25, 2008 I agree with all of the comments about the exposure, lighting, tonal range & cropping. Her facial expression is what makes the picture. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 25, 2008 Joe, working with that stage lights all the time, you created a beautiful pottrait of the musician. She is well placed on the frame with her instrument. The light( and shadows) is exactly right, on her face and musical tool, and her expression is complementing the whole. Very well done as usual. Link to comment
