"Gateway to the West" B & W version

Just wondering how this compares to the color version. Thanks for any feedback!

I'd have to say I like this one better than the color shot. The color one is very nice, don't get me wrong, but this one just 'grabs' me more.

Thanks Rueda, Mary, Jason and Dean for your impressions. This is one that, to me, has equal strength in Color and in Black and White. I say this because the color version has that hint of rich spring colors directly in the arch, which is not as evident in the B&W rendition. At the same time, the B&W version conveys the varied tonality of the scene and compliments the simple shape of the subject.
