Very good focus, dof, and detail.

I was about to post a couple Cardinals I shot today but after viewing this image, there is no chance. Incredible detail, colors DOF and composition. Regards, Pete.

Almost a very good picture, but since part of the tail is missing it looses a lot of hight. Everything else is about perfect.

Beautiful focus! Great DoF and bokeh. What lens and what aperture? Cardinals are very prevalent in my area (state bird of VA). I saw one yesterday that was BRIGHT red... much redder than the others. And this one is on the other extreme... almost grayish. Does this depend on the season or diet or sub-species or is it just luck of the draw?
