Hard going for dog and human in that stuff. Nice photo, good tonality. The dogs back might be blown out a little, hard to tell at this size. Hard capture with a white dog. Nice photo anyway.

Yeah, Sam, this white Spinone was giving me nothing but trouble in the odd light I was in, though the weeds made for some interesting textures. Better luck here, but I was having a hard time maintaining that sort of dynamic range as we were running in and out of treeline shadows. She did a great job on five chukar, and her owner was really pleased with her. Thanks for stopping by, Sam!

whichever way you look at this it's a stunningly good image. I've been at hunting parties when I was younger so I have a good idea how difficult this is. Great.
