The sense of motion that the dress and the arms have, while body is decently still creates a vivid and passionate photo.Great colors.Regards

Pnina, Combining the mood with her dancing styles, this image has created the perfotmer with a whirlwind of beating music and flying feet and it leaves even the audience breathless. You have successfully capture the spirit of the dancer.

No surprise that you've pressed the shutter at precisely the best moment. The movement is, of course, wonderful, and I also like the softness of the lighting, as well as the bg having texture and adding depth and interest it would not if you'd taken it to black. I like this image very much.

From cold purple, rising to hot pink, to burnt orange, from bottom up --everything heats up in this captured moment of swirling colors and dramatic light. The treatment for soft arms and silky gown make for a capture that is deeply feminine, dramatic, powerful.

... the motion, the rhythm, color and even the music, Pnina. I love the grain you get from shooting the high iso in the low light as well, it ties together all the different elements of the shot. Great job.

Light, colors, attitude and movement...what a geat scenic moment captured Pnina...I enjoy it very much, especially since I don't have a lot of occasion to go to the theater...so thanks also for that...

Very graceful. Nearly the perfect shutter speed. I think what sets this apart from some of your other motion shots are the wonderful colours. You seem to have a lot of fun with these. Nice!

Cherlyn and Spencer my friends, always nice to read your evaluation, the spirit of the dance is a beautiful definition,

David, thanks for your nice evaluation. On my monitor the BG is nearly black, I think that it can be a difference looking at different monitors.

Donna, your style of writing and evaluating is always so well expressed!

Dennis, even I photo with RAW and lower the grain, some of it rest, thanks for thinking it adds to the whole.

Adela, thanks for the passion definition, yes it is!

Laurent, glad you enjoy it and it gives you a clue, of what it is realy on the stage

Joe, thanks for your evaluation, graceful it is and special colors as well.

Thanks again to all of you for your written feedback, very much appreciated.

... the background is a dark burgundy with horizontal curtain patterns on the left and more or less flat wall on the right. There is a tight noise pattern throughout the background that blends in with the noise on the dancer. It appears that you used unsharp masking on the image, which perhaps was not needed, since the movement is so much a part of the shot.

You are the consummate master of dance photography. The perfect amount of motion and stillness to give me the sense of the flow of the dancer and still have some degree of sharpness. The interplay between the blurred skirt and the womens body makes for a strong composition. I agree with Dennis that the grain you get from your style of dance shooting often adds to the image. In many instances, such as this photo, it helps to soften the tones and render a pastel look to the colours.

Alberto, thank you too!

Gord, thanks for your extensive evaluation and feelings , I appreciate it so much!As I photo without a flash when on stage, with a high ISO and underexposed, some grain will always be in some of them... your point of view Gord, is important!

And thank you too Kelvin, a Gem from you ! that uploads a gem after gem!... ;-))
