Stairway to Heaven

Haiku Trail on Oahu, HI. This is a very fun and challenging hike in the mountains of Oahu,

Hawaii. It is constantly raining and socked in with cloud cover, so this shot was rather

challenging to obtain. Thanks for your thoughts and critiques.

i love this shot. the mist gives a real sense of altitude and the curvature of the steps really leads the eye into the white oblivion.

Mathew, Great shot and wonderfully muted tones, reminds me of our holiday in Venezuela at the restaurant Granja Natalia which is around 5,000ft above sea level near Caracus with views overlooking the Caribean. Within minutes the clouds completely enveloped the place even coming inside through the open windows. Thanks for the memory - Clive

I really like how the mist/clouds cover the end of the trail, allowing it to fade off into the distance. Really adds that mystery! Beautiful shot. 

It's amazing how fast the clouds can come in in Hawaii.  This is really extraordinary.  I'm putting it in my favorites.....I'd love to go on this hike next time we're in Hawaii.
