Thanks all for looking. Loic - have a great time in Australia. This spot is just (in australian terms)north of perth). Chris - I have tried different crops of this myself, but have finally settled on this- the original frame!

I like it a lot, especially the zebra-skin texture in the sand and the way it interacts with the shadows. It is a touch over-saturated for my taste, though.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Ken- this is pretty much a 'straight' scan of a slide with no photoshop saturation boost. The colours are a combination of the actual lighting conditions and the inherent saturation of fuji velvia rvp. I didn't even use a polarizer. It is probabley a little under exposed, which would boost he contrast and saturation. I haven't tried printing it yet, so I may indeed need to reduce the saturation a bit for that purpose.
