I'm back in town for a few days (be forewarned!) :-D I was in DC last week, and had a quick chance to visit the live butterfly exhibit at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum.

Yesterday's upload received some comments about the crop. Does this framing work? I will have to admit that the flowers are too bright for the dark-ish butterfly. Again, I'll need to play with it a bit more. I'm learning masking and layers ... I'll get there eventually! :-)

Your thoughts?

Have never done insect/butterfly photography before. Any input,

comments, ratings, etc. are greatly appreciated! :-)

I like the contrasts of yellows, golds and browns. The butterfly chose the right colors for you to photograph it. Very nice. Looks like a great place to visit.
