SURELY you don't have snow yet. :-)

This is nice. A sunny day ... the deer though she eluded you. A very pleasant scene.

Lou Ann, Thanks for popping in. As indicated in the 'Details', this one was taken on 29 Mar. '08. And yes, as of this writing, there is still snow within 50 yards of my house. Best, LM.

OK, a grab shot to be sure but how many of us have our cameras close

by & ready to shoot when these rare opportunities arise? Let's hear

about your successes. Best, LM.

Pnina, Thanks for the visit. Always good to get your input. The great light is a result of the low sun, it being late in the day, and the bluish shadows a result of a clear blue sky. A little reward for having a camera ready and close by. Best, LM.

I love this peaceful setting. It must have been a wonderful moment for you. Sightings are rare in the country where we are, at the end of a peninsula and away from the main forest and if you spot a deer on the road it's usually running away. Nice end of day lighting worked in your favor too.

Kim, Thanks for popping by. Yes, an unexpected treat. End of day light and a handy P&S allowed capture of this one. (There's a lesson in there somewhere) Best, LM.
