vetterhome1 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Funny idea. The black area at the right a little bit to large ? BR Joerg Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted April 17, 2008 Remind me of those puppet shows that was played behind a white screen creating shadowy shows for the audience in Thailand. Good re-endition, Pnina. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted April 17, 2008 A great shot that conveys confidence and encouragement. I like the two applauding hands on each side of the dancing silhouette. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 17, 2008 All of you for the nice feedback. Cherlyn, you are right, I did not think of it, but I saw it that way in Indonesia... so it touched me probably unconsciously.... Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted April 17, 2008 The use of the spotlight and shadows is amazing. The silhouettes makes a compositionally pleasing pattern. The hands reaching in from the sides are quite suggestive and the main character looks very theatrical with her pose. Both this image and the one preceding it are very expressive. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted April 18, 2008 Pnina, from the thumbnail, I also presumed it to be shot of Indonesian puppet dance:-)The movements of the hands are like 'mudras' of Indian dance.Very good play of light & shade. Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted April 18, 2008 Its Egyptian in appearance but feels like a spirit dancer if there is such a thing. Interesting. Kirk Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted April 19, 2008 Gord,I'm glad you liked it, the form of the dancer and hands on both sides were very unusual sight for me. Jack, Nijinsky and hierogliyph....what a combination of association.... Amal, thanks what is exactly Indian "Mudra" ? is it the way their hands "dance" with their body? Jeff, and Gabi, thanks for your feedback Kirk, Egyptian again.. in a Spanish style..... Linda, thanks for your feedback. Link to comment
