Vicente. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted April 16, 2008 ... she likes it as much as I do. This one is less "painterly" than some of your others, but wonderful nevertheless. It is truly a study in amazing textures ... rough wood, polished book, vellum, glass, porcelain, the gilded frame, the lace, wonderful marbled wall, the rough brush, and finally, center, the single flower. The brilliant composition moves the eye from element to element. The photo cries out to be touched, quite a feat for a "mere" photograph. Wonderful work. Link to comment
arbelex 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Glad you liked this photo. Dennis..., you hit the target with your comment about textures. They amaze me, visuals as well as tactiles. When you put your hand on the wall of an ancient church and the cold ruggedness of the stone stimulates your fingers, you can feel a lot of things even with your eyes closed. Blind people know much about that. This pic is an attempt to join a good handful of them. Touch it, if you want to. :)Cheers. Link to comment
Mis felicitaciones, un saludo, El.7/7 Link to comment
chris_panagiotidis 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Your wise choise of props ,Mikel, has turned out to be almost legendary. Their arrangement is very well thought out and the capture successfuly creates a mood relevant to the nostalgic era the objects imply. The lighting ,as always, is superb. A question: was the book placed upside down in purpose? Warm compliments, Chris Link to comment
nachosaezdeugarte 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Enhorabuena Mikel. 7/7 anon. Saludos. Link to comment

Eugenio. Link to comment

scottmurray 0 Posted April 17, 2008 This is a very nice image and the composition is perfect. I love that the book is upside down. I do find myself wishing for a softer more painterly image and I wish the glass jug was more worn (to deemphasize it a little), but I'm being picky about a very good image. Regards. Link to comment
Un abrazo y mi enhorabuena.7/7 Link to comment
