... what were the length of exposure and the stop, Amy. The reason I ask is the delicacy of the coloring in the side aisle back in the center as opposed to the overpowering lights running the length of the aisle here. This must have been overwhelming when you walked in.

Thank u for your compliments and is most encouraging after finding you are such an expert in cathedral /architect photography from your porfolio.

When I took this series, am only a tourist in one of the tour group of 30+ others, so no tripod allowed in the cathedral. In this dim light condition, the compromise was f/4, 1/25sec, at 40mm using 24-105mm/4 lens, at ISO 1250, Canon 5D.

I try to push everything to the limits. With my limited experience, ISO 1250 for Canon is not too bad after denoise with the plugin. 1/25sec at 40mm, still hv confident with my shaking hands if I stay still sitting on the floor leaning by the side of the wall breathhold waiting for the tourist to clear up and the Mr. Right to come by. F/4 at 40mm, a compromise of the DOV, but may be still acceptable if focus at the forelamp that act as a leading way to the scene.

Please enlighten me if there is anyway technically that I could improve to get a better pic, provided no tripod is allowed nor any still object to clink to? It will be most helpful for freshman like me getting advice from experts like you.
