Well seen, amigo. Good PoV. light, and composition. Always a treat to see a commonplace item viewed and presented so creatively. Warm regards...

Thanks. I was out riding my bicycle this afternoon (90 degrees here today), and I stopped at the high school tennis courts. There wasn't a soul in sight, so I made a few snaps with my little pocket rocket, and rode off into the sunset.

Dave, I too like this. The colors, the light, and of course the composition. And I share the appreciation of your ability to have us look at the commonplace in an artistic way.

David, I agree with what Joe Popper Said... 100%

adding only that I love the way you cropped the stair well wall even with the top of the frame. That is a clever angle crop and very insightfull.

it gives it an angled balance that is hard to achive whit a shot like this soemtimes. Kudos my man.

It's kind of funny to think about this because right after I took this shot, I got on the bike and got about fifty feet when I saw a yellow grate. I instantly thought of you, and stopped for a couple of snaps. Later, at home when developing my storage card, I didn't like what I got. But if I had liked it, you'd have gotten a dedication. Oh well, someday....

good vision. I like the looks. Nice light reflections. BTW, was it hissing when you touched it? Cheers, Micheal

Thanks. It's nice to have you around. You sure as hell lighten things up. In answer to your question, no hissing. I thought for a moment I heard a rattle, but then I realized it was only when I moved my head. Got to get those marbles glued down.

The angles sell the shot. I like the curve of the rail itself, but without the supporting cast of the steps providing a counterpoint (via opposing lines), this wouldn't work. But it does.

It's not particularly innovative, but perhaps a pleasing photo. You are right that without the steps and the little blue countersteps at the end, it would lose a lot. I find it amusing that some of my favorite images have come out of a simple walk or bike ride through my own seemingly boring neighborhoods. This is one of those. But given the miracles that McRitchie regularly performs, that fact should not be surprising.

Thanks for your visit and comment. Now I see; rails rule. Yeah. Along the nice framing and angling I do appreciate that vague band of light along the wall down to the step. You were there at the right monet to include that too. The teal blue(?) color links to wavy water... elementary notation... I admit...

By no means I'm suspecting you to copy me, and besides, our photos are approaching the rail theme differently. On my version it's rather just a framework around which/within which the other elements play quite well (after I bent myself in every which way to get it just right. ;-))

the compo and perspective are cool...I have the impression that it's much steeper than it should be in real...a kind of optical illusion game...nice colors too....

So I missed a great grate dedication. No matter, we're even: some of the Las Vegas, NM, street fronts I posted last week were "David Meyer shots" and I didn't say a word. Thanks for the thought.

I was just kidding when I made that statement. You know you have to take everything I say with a grain of salt.
