jennifercatron 9 Posted April 10, 2008 In most instances I tell people to that their images are too dark when they look like this, but there is a clear cut reason for this one to be dark. I really love the effect, and it does look like dusk. Great work. Im making it my business to start asking photographers who submit photos for review to dedicate a half hour of rating and critiquing the critique forum postings. Ive been a member for years and Ive never seen it so awful at PN when it comes to ratings. Before lately, you would submit a photo for review and participation was so great that you would have your quota of ten ratings within an hour or so. Now you have to log in every five or ten minutes of rating and I think that has made people lazy and stop rating or critiquing, yet they are still submitting images to the forum. Please help me spread the word and make this site what it used to be. By spending that half hour or so a day, you will find that you usually get ten or so comments back a day, more traffic to your own portfolio and so much advice and helpful criticism that your photography will dramatically improve. I hope you will help us bring PN back to what it used to be. Link to comment

drr 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Excellent moody image. Having the horizon at the midpoint seems to work to advantage in emphasizing mood over the picturesque by giving a sense of stasis. - Roy Link to comment
anatoly1 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Amazing! Calm, steady and somewhat mysterious. I love it. Link to comment
