lonebearimages 0 Posted April 9, 2008 This is just stunning. Really like how you wove the winding Breckenridge Road into the composition. The setting sun behind the mountain peak is sweet! A very beautiful and serene last light of the day shot. Well done, Mark! I gotta get that reverse grad ASAP! You get a pair of the 'big ones' for this shot! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
buri 0 Posted April 9, 2008 While I do like this shot, I can't help but feel it was taken just a hair too late. Since I was not there it is hard to tell, but it looks like the sun was in a great spot maybe a minute or two before this photo. I think that if some of the clouds in the middle of the frame were glowing more, it would add a lot to the shot. Just my humble opinion. Good work! Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted April 9, 2008 Thanks Chris, Ryan and Michael. I thought I was going to get skunked on the sunset because it was behind the low clouds until the very end. At this moment it showed a glow for about a couple of minutes, then subsided. The angle never really worked for the high clouds. I did my best!! Thanks again. Link to comment
jlineen 5,609 Posted April 9, 2008 Beautiful scene and lovely mood. To my mind it would be improved by cropping out some of the sky. Link to comment
harrylichtman 0 Posted April 9, 2008 Mark - The winding road and texture of the folds in the hills bring me through the shot. Also, the hint of the sun adds some added drama. Nicely done! Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted April 9, 2008 Thanks James, Mike and Harry. I agree with you James. This could probably make a great panoramic scene. Probably crop about half the sky to give more weight to the foreground. Thanks for the suggestion and objective POV. This scene was one that I have considered for some time now, and yesterday I happened upon it at the magic moment. Link to comment

randyrlebel 0 Posted October 1, 2015 I like the colors in this, but what I like the most is the feeling of it pulling me in to discover the photo. It's calling me to explore it. Link to comment
