Plaza Mayor is a micro cosmos of life passersby...

although the first image is sharper, i think i like the second because of the people passing each other without connecting with one another

Both of them are captivating and provoke different feelings. This one is more individualistic and therefore feels more personal. This "artist" is carrying his work and equipment just like some of us carry our cameras and tripods. Whether he is starting the day with anticipation or finishing it with relief, this is a capture that I can relate to.

I prefer the one presented here for it's simplicity and contrasting colors from the painting to the greys of the background. A very nice composition!

I know, all too well in fact. I just couldn't resist. That was a joke. The second line was dead serious.

The bunch of spring colors in an almost duotoned image. Great work.

I love the way you captured this man with his head turned. He may not be going where he is looking but is intent on going somewhere and without the face, I am allowed to explore the details of the image like his cargo and the stonework from the ground to the buildings.

A wonderful picture, Pnina, the juxtaposition of art and reality, just a moment caught in passing. It's really striking. The world here almost seems blandly anonymous as does the artist while the painting dominate with its vibrant color and abstract design.

I love the contrast between the color of the only "non-real" element, and the very neutral tones of the real world. Also the funny detail is that in french "Filatelie" ( atually written Philatelie, but pronounced "filatelie" ) is the name for everything concerning stamps, and this is where the arrow is pointing, just like the man is holding a huge stamp.
