"Window Into Spring"

Taken yesterday near Bakersfield, CA on the Breckenridge Road. Your observations are

appreciated.

Beautiful colours, I am so envious, we are still in the grip of winter here in Scotland.

This is a beautiful scene and is nicely composed, but on my monitor the colors look to be somewhat flat.

 

Edit: Silly me, once I looked at the larger view it actually looked better.

That's a patch-and-a-half of fiddleneck flowers! Perfect composition too. Very serene and peaceful-looking landscape. Nice work! Cheers! Chris

Thanks Simon, Mark and Chris. I was digging the clouds this day, as we so often have the cloudless blue skies here in the arid central portion of SoCal. The flowers were profuse. These will be superceded by Cal Poppies as I could see the flowers ready and waiting for a quick shower. Then in May, the Buckeye Trees will explode with Foxtail blooms (THX Chris). This has become my small paradise near Bakersfield, full of exploring possibilities.

So simple yet so elegantly beautiful!
