Delicate

This is a 1/2 inch sized wildflower we found in Death Valley National Park. It was so delicate that I had to try to capture it. I don't have IS on my camera, and it was windy, but I persisted and finally got this one that wasn't too out of focus. Actually, I like that it's not too clear....it lends to the delicate nature of this beautiful flower.

Gorgeous, delicate, ethereal, and just plain beautiful! Wonderful comp and exquisite depth-of-field. I wouldn't change a thing. Terrific work! Cheers! Chris

Hi Cristal! This is such a graceful looking and beautiful flower. The pink etching at the end of the pebbles gives an artictic added feature to the flower. The one thing I would suggest is to try to remove the distance flower in the background on the right by cropping closer this beautiful white/pink flower. It is somewhat of a distraction for me.

I will try your suggestion when I get a chance. I've actually received several other suggestions to crop or alter my photos. (which is a good thing :) Now I just need an afternoon to sit down and 'fiddle'. Thanks for the comment!

OK, I've changed it, but I don't know how to put it on this page. Would you be kind enough to look at it on my portfolio? It's in the top section. I usually don't like a single flower smack dab in the middle of the picture, so I'm not sure I'm convinced yet. I'll put it up to a vote. (I guess I'm still trying to define what I like and don't like). I actually did an off-center version also. Please tell me what you think, and thank you both so much for your input.

I've been waiting to see some images composed around your violin. No dice, huh? If you dig deep in my portfolio, you'll find some "French horn abstract" kind of shots that I took of my horn a couple of years ago. I'm SURE you could top them!
