Yucca, Joshua Tree National Park

Sweet! Wonderful light, and perfectly exposed. My only nit; and I'm sure you know it too; is that the top of the flower should have been included. You have improved so much just in the short time you've been posting to PN, Christal; and I'm very proud of you! Ya gotta come back out and visit again. I definitely want to meet the two of you next time too. Cheers! Chris

It is a beautiful flower, but the bald sky does not present its full majesty. I tried a blue-BLUE gradient which IMO seems to add that extra element which nature didn't allow when the shot was taken. I find it an improvement, but you are the artist of record.

Thank you SO much for this enhancement. I really like it! It is this very type of thing I'll soon be doing myself. I just started a class in Photoshop Elements. Prior to this I've had very primitive editing capabilities. So watch over the next year and hopefully you'll see my work improve! I love your bio and your wonderful spirit. Hey Chris, Yes, I had never seen a yucca in bloom before....they are quite stunning!! I like what Lamar did above, but I do think my version would look better if it had a little contrast or black frame around it. I'll have to think about displaying some of my photos that way, when I learn how. Thanks for your rating on this! I really appreciate it!

Traveling a bit in your work, I saw this Yucca, never met this plant/flower before. It is a beauty! I liked the blu sky that were seen in Lamar's suggestion. but it is a beauty as is as well. Interesting creation of nature. I like the lower part also. Very nice image.
