Raradise Road

harrylichtman

I had originlly been photographing the view opposite this vista (Pemigewsset Wilderness)after a ryme ice storm rolled over Garfield Ridge. As I glanced behind me, the lighting drew me in, and I was able to make several exposures. The ribbon of highway winds through the village of Franconia.

Great shot. Considering you didn't have much to work with line wise, you made excellent use out of the patterns in the grass. Great work.

Thanks Jennifer- It was a bit of a jumble - I had spent most of my time looking the other way and setting up an interesting composition (haven't loaded that image up yet) so you are right, I made do with what I had. My hands were about frozen by this time as a brisk wind was blowing. The low dried and frozen grasses weren't blowing too much. Thanks for stopping by.

This is an incredible shot. from the foreground to the background, the light is so different and very dynamic. There is so much of interest throughout the entire image.

Here is the view that I was photographing for the majority of the time. Some of the other compositions will be uploaded shortly. I like the lighting better in Padise Road image, but the composition is a little more balanced in this one. I'm glad these are the problems to have. Thanks for looking.
