Guest Guest Posted April 8, 2008 Nice shot my friend! Perfect control of DoF and a great composition!! Just a few suggestions though : the picture could be a bit sharper and the you can do with a bit of post processing by adjusting shadows and highlights to produce the right impact!! The idea is not to change the outcome radically however, since cameras are limited and cannot see what the eye (I'd rather say the mind's eye) sees, we can take some liberties with post processing! This should only happen once you've nailed the composition (which you have done in most cases!). I've tried my hand at this shot and attached the outcome here. Check it out and do let me know your opinion :) Best regards, Vamsi Krishna Link to comment
ananda1 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Thats interesting, you know I am very poor in PS. Tools I know are brightness/contrast, saturation, render, sharpness and thats it (Ofcourse cropping). Can you just write in a flowchart how did you achieve this. I am greatful for this outcome. wheels are really attractive and clear in the mirror image. Thanks for this and advanced thanks for your reply. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 8, 2008 I did all these modifications using Picasa and not PhotoShop. Picasa is available as a free download on google.com. The tool is highly self explanatory! I, unfortunately have not made a list of the modifications I made. :( Just start using the program and you'll figure it all out very easily :) Best regards, Vamsi Krishna Link to comment
ananda1 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Thanks, I worked with PICASA and I personally feel that, its not a good tool for post processing. Anyhow Thanks again for your time, I appreciate it. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 4, 2008 There is a download called GIMP it cost $1.95 It takes some time learning to use it but it has alot of nice tools. When I bought it you had to go back and download the help page. Good luck. Link to comment
