bosshogg 4 Posted April 6, 2008 Great color and the way the two diagonals of the roof and the arrow parallel each other works out perfectly. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Thanks David. I was trying to position myself just right to line up the arrow and the building, and I think I was pissing off the people behind me on the sidewalk, but it was worth it. Link to comment

tom_appel 0 Posted April 7, 2008 If you like old signs, I invite you to check out mine: http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=457254 This is exactly the element of this sign I would have isolated. The light through the bulbs is a great flourish. Very cool. Link to comment
tom_appel 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Doug, sorry, we've exchanged comments before. Didn't even check who the photographer was. Excuse my rudeness. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Hi Tom. You're not rude at all. Thanks for stopping by. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted April 7, 2008 a nice companion to your red arrow of a few days ago. i see you also have a really cool green arrow. the three of them together could make a really cool poster. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Thanks, Linda. That's a good idea. I'm finding a lot of nice arrows lately. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted April 7, 2008 never mind pissing other people off. That's all in a days work. You did it again here Doug but what does it for me most is that abhorrent colourscheme. Link to comment
lrenard 0 Posted April 8, 2008 smells the 70' and disco time..don't know why.. ;-) good one ! Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 10, 2008 I love the shadows of the light bulbs the most. You are going to force me to go out and take photos of the arrows around my town... Do you have a lens that will give you an aperture of f/2.8 for this shot? I'd love to see the soft background appearance of this shot. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Thanks, Shawn. I was drawn to the shadows of the bulbs as well, especially the jagged shadow of the one broken bulb. Without having my camera in front of me, I'm not sure I can open it up that far, but I agree that it would look nice. Link to comment
