owen_omeara 1 Posted April 5, 2008 A very well executed composition. This is the kind of image that I love to use for teaching students how to put an image together. The tonal range is superb and the DOF is perfect. Well done my dear lady. I don't think that even Irish whiskey could have made it better. -Owen Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 5, 2008 Owen is correct! Perhaps 'Scotch' might make it better... but it might ruin the apparent depth of field. Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Hahaha, crazy drunks... :-)....Nice to hear from you both, I was a bit worried that I would spot the two of you with lots of drinks under a bridge in Paris last week.... I've been calling ever since :-) Big regards!!!! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 6, 2008 I am sure if you supply the drinks, Owen and myself would turn up anywhere in the world to drink them... but perhaps not Paris. Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Hahaha, tell me please.... why not Paris? It is very beautiful :-) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 6, 2008 I'm the sober one here Bianca....;-))and also think it is a very good composition, good DOF, very good man made lantern juxtaposed with the free form of the tree in the FG. Good B/W executions.( there is a greenish cast on the BG that creates a nice gray....) Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted April 6, 2008 I agree with David that there should be a gathering of photographers that critique each other here and on some of the other sites. I will buy the Irish. -Owen Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 8, 2008 I refuse to answer the 'why not Paris' question on grounds I might offend some people. There are many beautiful places in the world most of which I have never been too. If Owen is supplying the Irish... he can choose the venue. Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Hahaha, okay!! Maybe we go to London in the near future with a group of photographers..... let's hook up :-) Link to comment
inmymind 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Hell, I'm still discovering interesting things just down the road. I need to get out more... Link to comment
Groet,Jim Link to comment
