lonebearimages 0 Posted April 9, 2008 Yowza! This is fabulous! Vintage California; and vintage Joshua Tree National Park! Perfect composition for this silhouette and perfectly exposed. You and your husband ought to consider enlarging this and hanging it on the wall! Beautiful work; and I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip to the Golden State! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Chris is right. This would make on beautiful wall hanging! It is the picture that so reflects the Southwest. Kudos on a great job and a beautiful capture!...RAY Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 19, 2008 Joshua Tree and the desert is the one thing I miss the most after I left So. California in 1975. Thanks for breaking my heart and reminding me of it beauty. I really like that you managed to isolate a single tree with its yucca friend in the sunset view. A very nice shot and I hope you got to spend at least two or three days visiting this area. Thanks for your nice comment on my portfolio and I'm honored that you spent some time there. I know very little about photography, but I think I do know how to see things and present them. Pierre Dumas 278 Posted July 7, 2008 Wonderful, that would be my comment! I wish I was there with my horse (bike) and my Winchester 73 (Sony V-3)! Not that I would do better than this! No Mme! A good landscape makes one wish to be there! PDE Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted July 10, 2008 It's very heartening to receive your positive comments on this photo. It makes my struggle worthwhile. You see, it took me quite awhile to find just the 'right' Joshua Tree. I wanted a lone tree with an interesting shape.....not too big, not too small, and without a bunch of other Joshua trees around. That was no easy task. My husband got just a touch perturbed at my obstinance. LOL But now I'm glad I persisted. Thanks for your remarks....I really appreciate your time. Link to comment
