I have had different kind of critique of this photo, and now I want

yours.. Does this photo work??

But to answer your question... yes.

Jeanette, I was merely trying to encourage you to offer comments and critiques on the work of others... it is not something you seem to do too often.

 

As for this picture... I like it and so the answer to your question, asked in the critique, was YES - It works.

It is sometimes difficult to tell someone why they like something. I like this image and therefore I would say that it 'works.' Describing why it works is not so easy. The colour / b&w thing is done to death and yet here it is done tastefully and to good effect. The texture suits the model and the style of photograph. I like it. I am sorry if I can't be of more help.
