httpwww.photo.netphoto1664882046 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Muy buenas las texturas conseguidas: piedras, montaas y cielo. Ademas buena combinacin de colores azules y marrones. En su conjunto una gran foto cargada de detalles. HDR? Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Thanks Daniel and Claude for your comments. Daniel, I know a little Spanish but not enough to respond in kind, so I will answer in English. While this is not HDR, I usually combine two processed image files in Photoshop to get the most detail, so it is an increased dynamic range, I guess you could say IDR. Claude, I can see the possibilty of this appearing flat, perhaps it is in the monitor. To me, the desired result is Soft. The ambient light was not strong and the foreground was in shadow mostly, so I kept the saturation down to maintain that appearance. Its all about the mood, and this would be subdued in nature. Thanks again! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Again, a wonderful Alabama Hills photograph! I like the layering effect you've captured; and the exposure looks spot-on. I see that it is still way too early for any flowers here. I'll bet it was colder than frozen zot the morning you took this. I've been that guy with numb feet waiting for the light to come up over the Inyo Mountains. By the way, I wanted you to know that I love your new website. Very professionally assembled! I also received the large print from our recent Point Mugu shoot. Much thanks, and I look forward to matting and framing it. I think it will grace the wall in my office along with a few of my favorite shots! Have a great day, my friend! Ciao! Chris Link to comment
WJT 627 Posted April 4, 2008 Great photograph Mark! I especially like the cool against warm composition. Nice detail in the boulders, too. Regards. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Hey Walt. Has that time eclipsed where upon you may give me a 7/7. Look around and see if you can find one thats close anyway. Thanks for checking in! Chris, no frio! I could not have picked two better back to back days to go roaming. It was probably about 35 degrees on this morn, NO WIND! Thats rather balmy wouldn't you say. The site is still under construction, but it will probably always be. Glad you like the print. Cheers to you! Link to comment
dacamera 0 Posted April 5, 2008 I don't see the light as flat but very soft and revealing. The rock colours are gorgeous especially when they are contrasted against the subtle blues of the sky. A beautifully balanced composition. Simon Link to comment

harrylichtman 0 Posted April 5, 2008 The contrast in forms is great-boulders, sheer peaks, soft sky. Works together wonderfully. Harry Link to comment
