maria_di_liegro 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Hi, Barb. What a heavenly color scheme you have here. It's extremely inviting, and I like the fact that you did not overdo the color to let the softness and subtlety show through. Regards, Maria Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Thank you, Joseph. A compliment coming from one of the 'masters' here on PN is always appreciated! :) Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Maria, your name sounded familiar, so I did some checking, and now know where we met - at Jayme's site. Thanks for coming to mine and your nice comments. Barb :) Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 5, 2008 I feel that there is something missing here.... I KNOW!!! Where are the signs that direct me to the bathrooms? This is a well captured image in all aspects, and since you posted it large enough for me to "play with it" I decided to see what it looked like in b&w. As I was working on the b&w conversion I was amazed as to how many different variations and options I had to choose from. I finally selected this version as my best shot. I hope you like it. PS, I like your shot but I think it would be better in b&w. Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Hahaha, you remember the other shot, huh? Your question also reminds me of my first attempt as a volunteer at this museum. I had just received my degree in fine arts, so sat at the reception desk ready and eager to answer any and all questions about an exhibit, a particular artist or art history as such. But the only question I ever received was: where is the bathroom? Oh well. I do like your b&w version of this image, my pal! Thanks for stopping by. Barb :) Link to comment
amitai schwartz 0 Posted April 5, 2008 This is very well done, Barb. I think the shadows and reflections add that extra element that makes this special. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 286 Posted April 5, 2008 Some of the merit goes to the architects though, ha! PDE Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Of course, Pierre, AND the Greeks AND the Romans. Credit where credit is due! :) Link to comment
