peter.blum 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Hello James, Interesting landscape from a far away country. The rocks are intriguing. Nice background. The foreground may be a bit too dark. Otherwise very good. Regards Peter Link to comment
jlineen 5,676 Posted April 6, 2008 Hi Peter. I agree bout the foreground being a bit too dark. Unfortunately I'd left my ND grad filter in the car. I was about to walk the 20 minutes back to get it when the sunlight fell on the rocks, so I had to compromise on the exposure. Thanks for looking and commenting. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted October 21, 2008 I agree in whole with the first comment. If you were shooting this with a tripod you could have shot two images - the first as you have done and the second for the rocks with exposure adjusted (plus 1 stop ). Use Photoshop to blend the two images. best regards, Link to comment
jlineen 5,676 Posted October 21, 2008 Thanks for taking the time to critique. The camera was on a tripod, but was loaded with slide film. I wasn't aware of the exposure blending techniques available when i took it. Definitely would have helped! I'll just have to go back some day..... Link to comment
