achristensen 0 Posted April 3, 2008 I debated whether to choose this with the overlay or the original. Does the overlay detract from her face? Comments so welcome! Amy Link to comment
ehdesign 0 Posted April 3, 2008 I find this overlay takes away from the overall photo. I think the photo is strong enough to stand on its own without adding anything. I find it really distracting around her left eye. That being said if the overlay was bing used for an ad or something in a catalog it could work as long as it does not interfere with the subject. just my two cents worth. Keep up the good work. cagwin 0 Posted April 3, 2008 You still want people to focus on the big blue eyes. I would keep the overlay as a seperate layer and play with opacity and blending modes....especially the blending modes. Maybe erase the inner vine that falls over the eye... Good stuff!! -M Link to comment
mikelc 0 Posted April 4, 2008 hi...I like it just the way it is....to me it frames the right eye rather than distract away from it...it's got that space odyssey human innocent feel to it...nice Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted April 5, 2008 I would like to see it both ways. For me the overlay (or is it a piece of lace?) gives it a fairie feel, which I like. I am also going to mention something that someone mentioned to me once that seemed to help, There is a white spot on the right side of her nose (looking at her) which needs to be photoshopped out. The child's eyes are beguiling. Beautiful shot. The more I study it the more I like it, Amy. Link to comment
aramat57 3 Posted May 20, 2008 Amy, I do like the overlay and the image, the light is perfect. But as I look at it, she seems more and more like a baby Borg, (albeit one from a gentle alternate universe!) I like the effect, makes it a little edgy to me and not the usual cutsie-wootsie thing one expects in a little girl image. She has amazing eyes! Link to comment
