I was trying to capture the relationship of light and shadows.

Except for the building in the bg, I think this is quite effective. Can you swing your camera to the right a bit? Or perhaps crop an inch off the top? Very nice.

Deb, you have done an excellent job of composing using the principles of form repetition and C-curve. I don't even mind the building in the background.

Not sure why, but I like this one more than your other similar offering. I think it may be that there is only one cement column here & it is perfectly placed in the frame. To get rid of the buildings in the background, if they bother anyone, a simple tilt to the right and a recropping in PS would do the trick. Any loss of wrought iron subject matter wouldn't matter as the shadows tell more about the railing anyway. Nice capture. Best, LM.
