This large male lion slept off a freshly eaten water buffalo just 200 feet from where our Land Crusier had parked at an over look of Ngorongoro Crater. As we returned to our vehicle, we came upon this big cat near the edge of the road. I wondered what would have become of us had he surprised us during our stretch break at the overlook.
