These things are like a bomb waiting to go off! Have seen gators in Florida and crocs in Africa and they are all frightening to me. Great shot. I like the focus, reflections on the water and color of the log. This guy looks too large to mess with!

My ex wife was taking a picture of an alligator down at Okefenokee. She was using my camera and didn't realize that wide angle lenses make objects look farther away than they are. When she took the camera away from her eyes she was a bit upset. It was a pretty good shot, though.

What a monster! I have no idea how close you were to him, but you captured his power and his girth. Well done. I also checked out your portfolio, and it seems we like to shoot many of the same things, although I'm just starting my collection. You have some wonderful shots, and I'll be back to check out your work!

THANKS GUYS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. ME AND MY WIFE WERE OUT ON A SMALL BOAT PADDLING THROUGH THE SWAMP AND PADDLED AROUND THIS GUY TO GET THE ANGLE. I SHOT ABOUT 20 SHOTS AND WAS SO HAPPY WITH THIS ONE. WE WERE ABOUT 15 FEET AWAY!

Man oh Man, what a big alligator. We have the big croc's in Australia, but this one is mighty impressive. Love the photo.Kenneth look at the comment I made on your Egret's and let's know the difference between the lesser and greater egret. Thanks. Helen

Thanks BOB. I'm going back there thirsty for more. This swamp is amazing. One of only 2 true black water swamps in the USA. I was handheld in a boat, but has i.s. on my 100-400mm canon.
