lizweisiger 0 Posted March 31, 2008 Black and white treatment. Which is better? Thanks. Link to comment
mdineen 0 Posted March 31, 2008 i prefer the b/w, because for me, the colors distract from the emotional message. Link to comment
thadley 10 Posted March 31, 2008 I have not seen the color version but I like this very much. The head tilt forming a diagonal line , the light are all appealing and perfectly captured. And in my humble opinion what would it take me to rate this higher? Answer: If the facial features were even sharper and a little more detail in the black areas. Re the dark areas: might want to use the on-camera fill-flash but dialed down a half stop so that it has minimal impact on the current lighting. 6/6 Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted March 31, 2008 Tony, great suggestions. I was so happy to grab her in this pose, that I didn't do much besides click. I'll see what else I can do with it. I just got Elements 6, and haven't even unpacked it yet... Many grateful thanks, always. Link to comment
nachosaezdeugarte 0 Posted April 1, 2008 I like the expression, the composition, the brightness and the "colours" of this b/w version. Congrats . Nacho. Your portfolio is excellent. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 24, 2008 OMG!! the angle the tone and the expression. You will laugh but I am watching Bravo and American's Next Top Model and this is better than Half the Pictures!!! WOW! Link to comment
human images 2 Posted April 3, 2009 hi Liz... for all the obvious reasons this is a fine shot. It would be far better, however, if you had allowed more space around the model, more distance between model and photographer. In this way we would see not only the wonderful and extravagant head gear, but the dreamy sensual ecstasy would be better exposed, the body language not so constricted by the closeup. Again, a fine moment. The diagonal geometry reinforces legitimate emotion, couldn't be better. But unfortunately the picture lacks oxygen. Regards, Carlos. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted April 3, 2009 C H, I appreciate your comment. I agree with your suggestions. This image was taken when I was very new to photography, and I simply shot what I liked, and cropped the heck out of this. Link to comment
