Matt Laur 2,201 Posted March 30, 2008 Two German Shorthairs on the sidelines of a hunt test are fixated on a crate full of quail. Thanks for visiting. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted April 1, 2008 Very good portrait. I wonder though given that orange cloth if it wouldn't look better in b&w Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted April 1, 2008 Thanks, Ton. I've thought about that... but one of the things that helps the viewer understand the DNA relationship between these two animals is the liver color of their heads, and their eye color (yeah, this is for a pretty specific audience!). But you're right - that blaze orange vest is rather distracting. I think I'll just see about desaturating it some so that my eye doesn't wander off that direction. I sure appreciate your input. ananda1 0 Posted April 5, 2008 even you can consider a very tight crop at right side (may be part of dog's head also but I am not sure) to get rid of orange vest. I like this very much, great idea and the composition is excellent. Kudos Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 8, 2008 Matt, compositionwise I think that the ornge collar with the two pairs of eyes and the orange part( what ever it is) on the upper R ,work quite well together. I would have reduced a bit the orange intensity on the upper part , bat basically it works, they are beautiful together. B/W is for sure an option too. Link to comment
