wingell 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Meir: South Philadelphia is generally considered to be that part of Philadelphia that is below South Street--in the section in which you apparently photographed your notable image, "Heat Wave," in 1993. This photo was taken in the waterfront neighborhood of Pennsport--adjacent to the Delaware River and below Washington Avenue. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers...Bill Link to comment
josephmolieri 0 Posted April 2, 2008 Hey Doug! I too am a Philadelphia, nice to see you on here. This pictures has great personality. The textures and her expression draw me in to ponder more about her. Well done! Link to comment
dankapsner 0 Posted April 12, 2008 What a wonderful, telling portrait, Bill. Her aged skin, the condition of her sweater, and the brown paper she clutches speak of a hard life, and yet her expression seems to indicate a certain dignity in spite of the difficulties. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 13, 2008 Hi, I just read you reply. It was a typo. I meant to ask "where in South Philadelphia". Not "Where is..." Your reply answers my question. Link to comment
