You are both right. However on Ton's I'd not call it a pose. In the all of a few seconds: I looked, waited for him to look, he looked, I clicked and this is what we see. Thanks for looking. Thanks for looking at him looking at me looking at him looking at....

I like the tones. His posture & expression make the shot. It tells a bit of a story which makes it successful. I might have cropped the bright area from the top

Of course you are correct about the expression. I think to crop of the top would make it too tight.
