emjordan 0 Posted March 29, 2008 Delightful colors - so impressionistic. Can't wait for colors like this to come this spring here in Chicago. Lovely image. Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted March 30, 2008 A suitable title for this very pleasing abstract. I love the all the hues, the pastel appearance, the impressionism created by the ripples and nature herself. I wish the dark branch wasn't there but realize it was something out of your control and that we sometimes have to take things as nature serves them up. Definitely a wall hanger. I tried for a 6/7 but the site prevented it. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Looks like a Monet, and I'd hang it on my wall in a heartbeat! About that branch... I like it, in fact I think it provides an anchor for the eye to hold onto and to return to from excursions into the beautiful colors and reflections all around. Lovely shot! Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Jim, it was actually a conscious decision to include the branch. I felt it provided a focal point and a sense of movement. But your objection to it is accepted. It wouldn't do if we all had the same taste. As for the rating, it's not a big deal. I value the comments more. Thankyou to all you who have responded. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted April 1, 2008 The subtle changes in color and texture are wonderful, Hanna. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Nicely captured! Like a Monet painterly effect! I really enjoy drifting through this.......Thank you! DG Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Hanna, I re-thought my comment about the branch after reading David Seltzer's comment and agree. It taught me something. Link to comment
gordon_logue 0 Posted April 4, 2008 Love this shot. The black outline seems to confine it. I messed with it a little. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted April 17, 2008 Not manipulated! I'm impressed, Hanna. I thought sure you used a "Monet filter" or some such. --Lannie Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted April 17, 2008 Gordon, thanks for your trouble. You're right, it's better, but I've never got around to figuring out those shadow frames. Lannie, nature is the best Monet. I find the trick with reflections like this is to focus manually to find the best effect. Link to comment
tbonemah 0 Posted April 21, 2008 Just a really compelling and magical image. Love it! Agree that frame 2 is more complimentary. Link to comment
