Not Here 93 Posted March 28, 2008 This could be the poster for a representaion of Peace! A wonderful view and excellent capture... I hope you sat there until every bit of color faded. Mike Link to comment
copeg 0 Posted March 28, 2008 Very beautiful shot. I like the comp with the sweeping foreground and sweeping sky - and the tree as an anchor between the two. Some awesome colors - a feast for my eyes. Looks like this would have been an incredible thing to witness. The foreground flowers may be a bit close for my tastes, but that's entirely a personal preference....beautiful shot again! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted March 29, 2008 This simply could not be better! Stunningly perfect and beautiful in all aspects. One of the finest photographs I've seen in a while! Fantastic, Amigo! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Thanks Laurent, Mike, Greg and Chris for taking a look. I must say I was quite energized by this scene. I worked it pretty hard and right at the end, I put my camara away, took a few moments to enjoy the fading light and went back to the car (a couple of hundred yards away and over two barbed wire fences). Then I jammed on some Manheim Steamroller and drove back to Bakersfield. What a complete evening for me!! Link to comment

hopsage 0 Posted July 30, 2008 Raymond Banfield has this listed in his "favorites" folder. I'm not sure how I missed it earlier. The color here is really beautiful, especially the cast on the the grass and flowers. Pitch-perfect, to steal another artistic metaphor. Makes me actually want to see Bakersfield :-) Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted December 27, 2009 I remember when I put this in my favorite folio. And it would be cinch to do it again. California clouds ( you do get them ) and your sterling composition plus of course, those pastel colors makes for an all around great photograph...Lefty Link to comment
