ken munn 0 Posted March 27, 2008 First off, I like it how it is, bright, colourful, contrasty (but please straighten the horizon). I'm a bit perplexed by the darkening down the two edges - with that lens on that camera I wouldn't have expected vignetting. Secondly. though, I wonder if somehow there wasn't another, better shot there. If the bow of the foreground boat had come across to fill about one third of the frame so that we got lots of in-focus detail, and then the other boats and the beach had filled the rest of the frame it might have been very appealing. I guess we'll never know! Link to comment
Jebamony 3 Posted March 28, 2008 Ken, thank you so much for your critique. It is really appreciated. I was paying too much attention to my "Digital Alterations" and totally over looked the horizon. As far as the vignetting, you are right, the lens did not cause that. Again that is something I was trying to add. I will check if I have other shots as you described. Thank You J3 Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted April 7, 2008 For me what REALLY makes this is the lines. I thing that was what probably got you to take the picture in the first place. I'm sure you were probably telling (in your mind) that guy down there go away. HA HA HA I absolutely love it and really I didn't notice the horizon honestly because of the waves. I guess it is almost a distort to the eyes in a way. Link to comment
