Shrimp Boats docked. Higher Fuel Costs keeping more and more of the

fleet in these days. Thanks for comments and critique of image.

good composition, Lesa... my favorite type of place to hang out...i've been spending alot of time in these types of places....I miss driving to Biloxi.... this is such a tragedy for the folks that make their living this way... if it's not the fuel prices, it's mother nature (not enough rain, affecting this industry, too- I see it everywhere) ... all the best... take care over there

Yes Joan--it is the setting sun. It was absolutely the last few seconds it was visible. Always good to hear from you... regards...LJ

A wonderful silhouette image Lesa, I never would have guessed that these are boats. I would have preferred to have the sun just a bit higher above the horizon but I'll take what I can get. Nice shot!

Me too Shawn, but I was driving like a crazy women trying to get to this spot before the sun was gone, and this was absolutely the best shot I got. I got another similar shot from farther back, but have not posted yet. Check back soon. Regards...LJ

Lesa, sorry for beeing late - I missed that one here. Amazing, wonderful - never seen the combination with industrial maschinery! Always see the cliche palm trees... Big hand of applause!

Bravo, best regards, El.

PS: no shrimps anymore there?

I keep going back and forth about the elevation of the sun. Mostly, I lean to liking it as is. I think were the sun higher it would steal too much attention. I really like the combination of the very warm colors with the sharp blackness of the silhouettes. A fine piece and worth the fast drive!
