Thanks for that very nice compliment, Rita! I have a history of playful grumbling about sunrise/sunset shots so there's a bit of irony in my posting this. I was so focused on shooting the pier in the soft light that I really didn't think about the color in the sky or the arrangement of the clouds until I viewed it on the pc.

Thanks, Tom! I considered 'trash can-less' options but, in the end, decided to leave them in. In shadow, they're less jarring than they might be in bright light and I think as shapes they help anchor that palm against the extension of the pier.

Very dramatic well composed image. I wish there were a tad more room along the bottom edge but that's my only quibble. The lighting and the scene is spectacular. Congrats, rek.

Thanks, Richard! I agree about the bottom but I just *had* to get all of the palm tree in (and give it some overhead space.)
