Taken near Bowman Lake, Glacier National Park. The composition of nature is often

asymmetrical. Thanks for your thoughts!!

While you're right about 'chaos' in nature; this also illustrates the 'symmetry' in nature. Forests in the boreal north grow up and become aged; then fire comes; lodgepole pine becomes established after the fire; and over the succeeding 70-80 years, the climax spruce-fir forest species becomes re-established; and the cycle starts anew. Wonderful photograph, Mark; this is really quite beautiful and interesting. Cheers! Chris

Chris is dead right, the patterns created by the branches and trees are fascinating. You have done well to create a coherent image out of what would to most people indeed be chaos.

Many thanks for the constructive and well explained comment on my image. You are dead right and I am very grateful (I will repost the image in my portfolio when I have time).Just the type of help that makes this site so very valuable!
