lesa jones 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Richard.. compositionally this is dead on, so congrats. This is one of those rare occasions that I would say "high noon" would have made a better shot, in other words, the shadow of the railing detracts from the beautiful woodwork. All in all, this is still a very nice shot... congrats...LJ Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 25, 2008 Thank you! Were you attracted to this because you live in Mobile? I have a friend in Fairhope and have sailed with him out of Pirate's Cove to Key West. As far as the photo, I understand your comment but I shot it when I could and I was impressed by the wood and the structure at the end. Thanks for looking! Dick Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted March 26, 2008 Wow--so lucky to sail from Pirates Cove to the Keys!! Me I usually don't make it past the bar at the Cove, hahaha. I assumed that you took this at the only opportunity you had, and yeah, you got me, was drawn to it because of where I live. Best wishes and happy shooting!! LJ Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 26, 2008 We had burgers and beer at that bar the night before we sailed. You may know my friend, Gene Saiter, owned the Athena...a 38 foot Cabo Rico cutter. Link to comment
