Burst!

I left a little `texture' that resulted from processing in the

forground element. I think this helps remove the photo look and gives

a bit more of an art effect. This is an abstract, derived from a

photo, and not a photograph.

 

Please consider this a `art' and not as a straight photo.

Different, very different. I like it. Not sure of the background. The flower image is quite striking. I different background might have helped the edges blend better. Overall though, a remarkable image.

 

How did you achieve the effect on the main image?

Both the background and foreground were processed with Fractalius, but with different settings. The foreground was a straight shot of incense smoke lit with multi-colored strobe light from below.
