This is a photo purely about color -- in this instance, the colors

yellow and red. Your ratings and critiques are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically, please submit a

helpful and constructive comment; please share your superior

photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks!

Enjoy! John

This one blew me away. How uncanny to encounter this type of color interplay in a composition. The red and the yellow form two distinctive triangles that intersect each other. We have the element of 3's at play.

I also like how the car and the people are moving in different directions.

Starting with the reds we have the car on the right, the cuffs of the child's trouser and the top part of the toy. The invisible lines that intersect each of these elements form our first triangle. The second one is formed by the person wearing the yellow coat in the background, the bag that the child is carrying and the toy.

You have done a great job of explaining the colors in this photo -- this is a technique I learned from Ruud Albers, whom this is dedicated to, above.

You didn't notice that I was completely bent over and at child's height when i took this (oh, my aching back).

Many of my photos are taken when I am standing erect or sitting or atop some perch or soomething, but this one was taken walking, bent over at child's height to get it from the proper perspective.

;~)

(and nothing disgusting or depraved about it!)

Like your photo.

As you said, they are quite different, but you show a good eye.

I was not aware my eye was so 'color sensitive' until after I realized why I had taken this photo and saw the results, with all the reds and yellows.

Gives me an inkling of how Ruud Albers must see the world, doesn't it to you, too?

Best to you, Luca.
