bynx 0 Posted March 24, 2008 This is 10 shots of 10 different drops to assemble this collage. Shot with a Fuji S700, manual focus, built-in flash. Link to comment
joel-franceschi 0 Posted March 24, 2008 this is just so briliantly simple, and very nice idea at the same time. at first i thought it was a motor shutter at first. or film stills. must have taken a lot of shots to get these to match up that well! Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted March 24, 2008 This is exquisite. The effort involved must be significant and the results are just stunning. I have never done this type of shot so the following comment includes some ignorance. The upside down image in the drop is, I believe, the studio, the environment? How might you control what shows up in the drop? Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted March 24, 2008 creating something out of nothing is no small feat. But you did it beautifully Link to comment
bynx 0 Posted March 26, 2008 Thank you all. What shows up in the drop is what is near the drop. In this case its just the kitchen sink, the faucet and the tap and backsplash reflected in the drop. If you had a colored board then the color would show up in the drop as well. Its like a little mirror so whatever is close by. For this shooting session I shot 214 frames. I moved the camera position a few times and settled on this for the last 20 shots. Of those 20 shots I used 10. Im amazed how well they fit the sequence. The only difference between each shot was my human reaction time as the drop fell. There was no timer or gyzmo to help with the flash. Link to comment
