Hi Dan!

I call this "In between the lines" I like the way this is framed with the lines of the track above and below and the tire marks in front. I have a ton of motorcycle racing pics that are all on film and in my storage unit in LA :-( The trick to getting any type of racing shots (sailing included) is to capture that one unusual image. Isn't that's why we keep clicking that shutter day after day after day?

So are you done with having to do homework???? Hope all is well.

Elisabeth ;-)

I dunno, the last time i read between the lines, the english teacher called me on it... but i digress...

I click the button because i think it makes a cool sound, especially the A1 :). Oh, and to get that one image where when it loads in the computer or comes to life in the dark room, makes me say: "wow". Something out of the realm of what you are used to seeing/taking conceptually, and executed 'flawlessly' as well.

Homework for one more month... Then scot free for two months... Aside from that bliemy summer reading!

You've been quiet lately, where have you been?

Still in Chicago and taking photos for films that I can't always post here due to copyright. Hey, stop raggin' on your teachers! ;-D Love your new sailing shots. I bet its real hard to stay focused on what you need to do to not fall off and keep your camera from getting wet while getting that great shot. Do you have a waterproof casing for your camera?

Keep up the fantastic work Dan.

Ah, i see. In any case, can't wait to see some of your hidden and locked away photos in storage. If the teachers can rag on me, i can rag on them!... Taking sailing pictures is still a bit of an un-tame beast to me. Very hard to do, and i think i took years of life off of my camera. It got pretty wet, but, so far, it has not seemed to effect it... No case. I stuck it in bags, or in the top of a "dinghy smock" (think pullover windbreaker... that smells like mildew and sweat... fun shooting conditions...). Its a lot of fun though, especially since i so rarely watch sailboats sail, without being sailing myself.

Thanks Liz. Can't wait to see some more of your recent/un-posted work.
