I've got one word for this one: terrific

I've been by this one a couple times and, while it's intriguing, I can't seem to describe it... maybe ghostly will work. Excellent lighting and composition... Mike

I rarely like flower pictures; I think they're overdone and cheese-nut. But this one's color and composition make me think, "if this were up on a wall for sale, would I buy it?" The answer is almost a yes. Bravo

Interesting execution Tim, what makes it so, is the triangled placing on the frame ,and different form of the flower parts. The full leaves vs. the curly ellements, the unusal color palette and light .Add to this the BG where the flower is partly hidden( on the L). Rich and beautiful.

Caesar, I agree, I had a whole folder of floral shots that I just grew tired of and deleted...this recent shoot I decided on a different approach, more of what I saw, instead of just shooting a flower....thank you!

 

Pnina, thanks so much....I saw such an Angelic quality to this flower when I shot it, so I tried to present it that way, with the soft light and the wing-like petals and the curl resembling a halo. I'm really happy with the finished photograph.

 

Cynthia, Thank you, I really appreciate your steadfast support, It's funny that you mention "on a roll"......a few months ago, I said those same words to another photographer when I felt he hits his stride and his work really started to take off, I wondered if I would ever get to that point where I felt really good about my photographs, I think I'm getting there, so your words are very encouraging, thank you..........besides, us Michiganders gotta look out for one another right?

Wow, this one is just so amazing... You have many beautiful shots in your portfolio but this one grabbed me.. The color tones and the light is so perfect... This is a piece of art I think..... It gets a 7/7 from me and goes to my favorites...
