Beautifully composed, the simplicity of this image works a treat.

The texture in the sand really comes out great here. I also like the fact that the shadows are in the viewers direction. This all is wrapped beautifully in a minimalistic outfit.

Absolutely sublime black and white image. Gorgeous composition and lighting conditions. My only suggestion is to level the horizon; it tips down on the left side at a good clip. Cheers! Chris

Richard, What the others have already said! In your defense I would suggest that the horizon IS level & only the surf creates the illusion of a slight tilt. Nice arrangement of all the elements here. My only small nit is that the shot lacks any technical details. My bet is that you used a polarizer and a wide angle lens as there is an uneven darkening of the sky. I have had this problem in the past & now refuse to use the polarizing filter on anything wider than a 35mm (full frame). Best, LM.

In my defense, enlarge this and look very carefully at the horizon line behind the surfline and carefully follow it across to the left side. Just an observation, and certainly not worth arguing over. Cheers! Chris

Chris, My bad! Found out my monitor was resting on a sheet of paper on the left side & thus tilted the scene to a level plane. :-) Best, LM.
